Volunteer Coordinators

Volunteer Coordinators are a central part of some Health TAPESTRY projects. They help organize, support and train our volunteers. They are the main contact when volunteers have questions about the program and they help volunteers identify and reach their own volunteering goals.

A big part of the volunteer coordinator’s role is to build a relationship between volunteers and clients. They arrange the first meeting between volunteers and clients and manage schedules. They also help make sure that everyone understands and agrees to the terms of the Health TAPESTRY program.

Volunteer Coordination Partners

Health TAPESTRY projects may partner with volunteer organizations to benefit from the expertise and resources of these organizations. In Hamilton, Health TAPESTRY has partnered with two organizations for volunteer coordination.

The Health TAPESTRY Older Adults program partnered with Shalom Village, a long-term care organizations, to provide volunteer coordination. For this role in Health TAPESTRY Health Connectors for Diabetes Management project, we have partnered with Volunteer Hamilton.
